Biography

Erica Mecler Caron brings nearly two decades of experience in complex civil litigation, with a particular focus on insurance coverage, product liability, and high-exposure tort matters. Erica represents clients across a range of industries, offering strategic counsel in both trial and appellate settings.

Before joining FBT Gibbons, Erica served as Senior Litigation Counsel at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, where she managed a busy portfolio of active litigation and excess exposure matters. Her work spanned multiple lines of business – including commercial, personal, excess, life sciences, and professional liability – and involved litigation strategy across challenging jurisdictions for the insurance industry such as California, Washington, Missouri, and New York.

Earlier in her career, Erica gained broad experience as an Associate and later Counsel at two Boston law firms where she focused her practice in civil litigation, including construction law, insurance coverage, environmental claims, business disputes, and commercial real estate matters. Her background includes trial work, motion practice, and appellate advocacy in both state and federal courts.
