Barry Hines is Chair of the firm’s Business Department. He advises institutional lenders and loan servicers on complex commercial real estate finance transactions nationwide. Recognized as one of the country’s leading real estate finance attorneys, he helps clients structure, originate, service, restructure and enforce high-value commercial real estate financing transactions. His clients include CMBS and CLO lenders, banks, life insurance companies, debt funds, bridge and mezzanine lenders, and loan servicers. He regularly represents lenders in transactions ranging from $10 million to more than $1 billion across all major asset classes.
Barry is Chair of the firm’s Business Department and a former member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He founded and previously led the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Lending and Servicing Practice Group.
Barry is a past President and Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the nation’s premier organization of distinguished real estate attorneys. He is a frequent speaker and author on topics involving commercial real estate finance. He has been recognized by Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Real Estate Lawyers, Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
