FBT Gibbons represented dormakaba Group, a leading global provider in the access solutions market, in its acquisition of the operating businesses of Azure Access Technology Inc. (Azure), a supplier of innovative, adaptable electronic access control hardware, and ADME, Inc. (Apollo Security), a leader in the development and manufacturing of access control and integrated security systems.
The Azure Access and Apollo Security acquisition expands dormakaba’s position in the U.S. access control solutions market and advances its strategy of offering individual access-control components, including locks, readers, and controllers, to original equipment manufacturer partners. The transaction was signed and closed Aug. 14, 2026.
Founded in 2019 and based in Newport Beach, California, Azure Access develops next-generation electronic access control hardware for the U.S. commercial market. Its open-architecture controller platform enables software providers and other partners to integrate, customize, and deploy their own access-control solutions. Apollo Security, also based in Newport Beach, develops and manufactures access-control and integrated security systems. Together, the businesses employ approximately 30 people and serve access-control companies worldwide.
