Payton focuses her practice on handling real estate matters. She has gained diverse experience through legislative internships with the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of the General Counsel, where she worked on legislative, policy, and transactional matters.
She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University School of Law, where she served as the Deputy Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Civil Governance, was a member of the Texas A&M Law Review and served as a Student Ambassador. Following law school, Payton served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Justice John M. Bailey of the Texas Eleventh Court of Appeals.
Outside of work, Payton manages a beef cattle operation with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in East Texas and supporting the youth in her community through 4H and FFA events.
