Matt represents employers in a broad range of employment matters, providing strategic, business-focused counsel and vigorous advocacy. Matt has developed a particular focus on OSHA-related issues and regularly advises employers on workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and litigation including incident response, inspections, citation defense, and proceedings before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. He also represents clients in labor and mass arbitration disputes, with experience handling unfair labor practice charges and grievances arising under collective bargaining agreements and managing large-volume claims in mass arbitration contexts. Matt has experience defending employers against wage and hour class and collective actions involving alleged FLSA overtime violations. He also advises employers on exemption classifications for diverse workforces, helping clients navigate complex compliance challenges while minimizing litigation exposure. Matt graduated cum laude from Washington University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy.
