Maria has experience representing employers in state and federal employment litigation involving claims under Title VII, the ADA, FMLA, ADEA, and FRSA. She partners with employers to navigate complex employee relations issues, providing practical, day-to-day counseling on compliance and risk management. She also conducts internal workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, and supports clients in collective bargaining negotiations and grievance arbitration proceedings.
Prior to entering private practice, Maria served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Tobacco Enforcement Unit at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where she worked on regulatory compliance matters and conducted investigations and hearings under the Smoke Free Act.
Outside of the office, Maria enjoyes doing CrossFit, reading, cooking, and hiking with her husband and dog.
