Christopher is a partner in the Real Estate practice group in the firm’s Dallas office, bringing more than a decade of experience serving clients in the construction and design industries. His practice includes representing owners, developers, contractors, design-builders and design professionals in complex contract negotiations across multiple project delivery methods and counseling clients on legal and business issues throughout the life cycle of real estate development and construction projects. His experience includes negotiating contracts for mixed-use, multifamily, commercial, healthcare, higher education, sports facilities and mission critical projects valued from $50 million to $350 million, including major ground-up developments in Texas.
As a former in-house counsel for a prominent design-build firm, Christopher brings practical insight into deal structuring, risk allocation, project pursuit, contract administration, completion and warranty issues. He draws on this experience to develop creative solutions to frequently disputed contract terms and help clients minimize risk and avoid claims. Although his practice focuses on construction transactions, his prior litigation experience — including matters involving delay, defect and payment issues – provides an informed perspective on disputes that may arise during project execution.
