Yazan Ashrawi, partner-in-charge of the firm’s Columbus office and a partner in FBT Gibbons’ Government Services practice group, has been named to Columbus Business First’s 2026 40 Under 40 list, recognizing emerging leaders under the age of 40 for their professional accomplishments, leadership, and community involvement. Ashrawi was honored at the publication’s awards ceremony held last night in Columbus.
Ashrawi was recognized for his rapid rise within the legal profession, leadership within FBT Gibbons, and continued impact across the Central Ohio business and civic communities. Since joining the firm, he has advanced from associate to partner and, in 2023, was appointed partner-in-charge of the Columbus office, becoming one of the youngest individuals to hold the role in firm history. He was also recently elected to the firm’s Board of Directors.
As leader of the Columbus office, Ashrawi oversees nearly 80 professionals, including more than 45 attorneys, while helping guide the office’s strategic growth, operations, talent development, and community engagement initiatives. In his legal practice, he advises clients on complex business and real estate matters, including land use and zoning, eminent domain, real estate tax, development disputes, and appellate advocacy. He also serves as trusted outside general counsel to both public and private clients.
In addition to his legal practice, Ashrawi remains deeply involved in civic and professional leadership throughout Central Ohio. He serves in leadership roles with organizations including First Tee – Central Ohio, the Federal Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association, while also mentoring law students and young attorneys through several professional development initiatives.
