Monisha is a Partner in the Business Litigation and AI / Data Privacy practice groups. She represents companies in a wide range of complex business disputes, including trade secret theft, unfair competition, breach of contract, violations of privacy and AI laws (CIPA, ECPA, CCPA, US & EU AI statutes), shareholder derivative claims, corporate fraud / mismanagement, ADA claims, real estate developer disputes, title fraud, and mortgage foreclosures before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and in arbitrations. She advises clients on domestic and international AI and data privacy compliance.
Dually licensed in India, Monisha represents companies in cross-border India-US business and real estate litigation. She has testified as an expert on Indian law. She advises clients on Indian commercial, financial, real estate, and inheritance laws and transactions.
Monisha was Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Litigation Section and continues to be a member of its Executive Committee. In that role, she collaborates closely with local judges and attorneys to enhance functioning of the courts and access to justice for all. She has been invited to speak on numerous legal panels alongside senior attorneys and the local judiciary. Monisha’s legal writings have been published in Bloomberg, LexisNexis, the Los Angeles Lawyer, and the Indiana Lawyer Journal. She was featured on the cover of the Los Angeles Lawyer magazine.
Monisha is a third-generation attorney; her father was a Barrister from Lincoln’s Inn, U.K., and her grandfather was a Magistrate Judge in India. She is an avid hiker, sailor, and an enthusiast of the local theatre and symphony.
