Michelle brings extensive experience supporting attorneys and clients through complex workers’ compensation claims. With over two decades of experience, she has developed a deep understanding of Ohio’s workers’ compensation system allowing her to manage claim matters with confidence and precision. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to organizing and analyzing medical and employment records, drafting letters for defense examinations and reviews, preparing defense presentations for Industrial Commission hearings, calculating potential VSSR liabilities, calculating wage settings, and ensuring case deadlines are met with accuracy and consistency.
Prior to joining the firm, Michelle worked extensively with the Ohio workers’ compensation system as a claims examiner at one of Ohio’s largest Third Party Administrators (TPA). During the five years she spent with the TPA, she assisted clients in evaluating workers’ compensation claims, both factually and financially, and she advised clients in the proper strategies for the management of their workers’ compensation claims.
Prior to her work at the TPA, Michelle worked for a number of businesses in sales and customer service. Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts from The Pennsylvania State University in May 2003; she majored in English and minored in mathematics. In June 2007, Michelle received a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
