Alyson is a civil litigator defending governmental entities and employees from constitutional and civil rights lawsuits involving § 1983, employment, and education matters in Indiana and Ohio. Her public interest academia credentials in law, policy, and history, artistic knowledge, and experience launching a legal career during the pandemic,, allows her to build a tenacious defense with wholistic, creative legal strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Alyson served as a term staff attorney for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, assisting the judges and magistrates on pro se civil rights and habeas cases, a legal research director for Indiana’s prosecutors’ council, and a judicial law clerk for trial courts in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Alyson is a 2020 alumna of Regent University School of Law. While pursuing her graduate and legal studies, Alyson obtained a wealth of experience from teaching music to Pre-K-5th graders to participating in fellowships with an international human rights organization and intellectual property contract management firm. She also found time to intern with state and federal courts, an attorney general’s office, a public interest law, and served on her law school’s executive law review and moot court boards.
Outside of practicing law, Alyson enjoys traveling coast to coast to various festivals and shows, spoiling her rambunctious fur baby, and experimental baking with new flavors and techniques.
