  • Cincinnati Business Courier Features Adam Hall Discussing FBT Gibbons Combination

FBT Gibbons Co-Managing Partner Adam Hall recently sat down with the Cincinnati Business Courier to discuss Frost Brown Todd and Gibbons combining to form FBT Gibbons LLP, an 800-lawyer national firm with 25 offices across the United States. He described how the lack of “boots on the ground” in the Northeast, compared to Gibbons, helped lead to the decision to team up, and after successful years for both firms in 2025, they are poised to reach new heights together in 2026.

“We’ve already seen the ability to open up new opportunities to clients before the official date of our merger,” Hall says.

Hall predicted additional growth in 2026 and added that strategic growth was a part of both Frost Brown Todd’s and Gibbons’ respective plans in recent years.

“We’ll continue to work in our existing markets where we feel like we can achieve more size and scale,” he explains. “We’re trying to grow to make ourselves stronger in the areas we excel, serving our clients and in markets that have a concentration of important industries where we have a value-added proposition, such as manufacturing fields, financial service, energy and life sciences.”

He went on to explain how some of the greatest challenges currently facing law firms — the way emerging technology is used, for example — also present the greatest opportunities in 2026 and that all firms must adapt to it and remain up to date or risk losing some of their clients and market share.
